Opposites Attract

I want my hands to wrap around your fingertips with a serpentine motion,
To feel the texture of your skin as it merges half-heartedly with mine,
Alongside an unsurpassable smile on my face.
I want sinners to envy such a devious feat

As if they had never seen such emphatic pleasures.
If eyes could talk mine would whisper pleas for insanity into yours
Creating this surrealist sculpture in my pupils of how madness
Should never feel this good.

If heartbeats could make music, drums couldn’t replicate such a rapid tempo;
I’m in love with my own rhythm while it’s tuning into yours
And my ears are suffering from a melodic override.
My tongue collapses under words when I say your name
And it’s become this disease that I’m hopelessly contagious of.

I can’t help our similarities but I can make up for the differences,
That is,
If you’re willing to disregard every. last. one.
Let’s forget about consequences or the promise of a future
and dive headfirst into the moment,
Until I finally feel infinity brushing against my ticking clock.

Would time stand still long enough for me to catch up
To the speed of my emotions,
So I would drown myself, mercilessly, in exchange for
a sign of your affection.
